Mawson. Double garage, deck and stairs to entry

Our young clients here needed car accommodation and storage, but also wanted to eliminate the old long flight of stairs up to the front door on this ex government house not just for better access but to gain some street appeal for the home.

This was achieved by adding a large double garage below the existing house with good storage and workshop area to the rear. With a stone wall running between to retain the ground we were able to create a small flight of stairs to a timber deck walkway then another small flight to the entrance door. This also created a courtyard garden area to break up the front of the house and add privacy.
